2014 Photo Journal - Day 163 - Scarlet Tanager

There is a pair of Scarlet Tanager's that nest in the mott of oaks that are across our drive. I love to sit on our front porch and watch them. They are rather shy and my camera's zooming capabilities are unable to get any closer, but I still like how bright this little fellow is!

2014 Photo Journal - Catching Up AGAIN!!!

Seems as I'm staying in "catch up" mode! The days get away from me! We had more rain last night and this morning - with lightning which made the electricity go off and on - which is very bad for the computer, so we shut it down until later today. Now, here's my last three days of photos.

2014 Photo Journal - Day 157 - Clearing Out Water Lines

Sometimes debris gets caught in the water lines from the windmill and they get plugged, so we have to use the air compressor to blow them out! Important to keep the troughs full for the livestock.
