In a Neighbor's Pasture

Another Sunrise - Too Pretty to Resist!!!

Historical Marker

This marker is about 10 miles from our home and it's the first time we stopped and read it!!!!

Alpine Cutting

If you remember, the first weekend of August Mike, Mikkie, Gracen and I made a trip to Alpine, Texas for a Cutting Horse Competition. These aren't my photos, but wanted to share shots of  Mike and Mikkie competing.

Tuesday, August 25

It's been 46 days since our last rain - so we are so thankful for this nice rain!

Lambs to Market

Yesterday, August 24, we hauled the lambs to market.

My Creative Space

Sunday, August 23

I cleaned and re-organized my "creation station". I also added the new curtains. Always nice to have a "freshness" once in a while!

A beautiful sunrise to start the day!!

A trip to Central Texas (about 2 hours east of us) carried us to a country road with a low water crossing.

A fire sighted south of the road on our way home. Praying not much damage was done!

Summer Project

One of my summer projects was to re-coat the log siding of our house. This is the last side!!! YEAH!!!!

Behind AGAIN!!!!

Good excuse though, we were out of town and I don't have an ipad or smart phone, so just have to wait to post when I get home! So here's photos from the past few days!

We made a trip to the feed mill before we went out of town. Noticed a worker up on the conveyor.

We made a trip to Far West Texas to the town of Alpine - a BIG country!

We went to a the 06 Ranch Cutting Horse Show. I videoed the runs, but did try to snap a few shots to post here.
 My favorite cowboy!!

Glory, one horse of seven that we took.

Always a good time visiting with friends and family. This is Mike and Bill, his cousin.

The highway had many "cuts" through rocky hills. Not a great photo, but these rock cuts were beautiful to see.

It was a long trip home, but the girls were back in the saddle the very next day!

Lou is a rescue Axis Deer. She was a baby fawn when we got her in January 2014. She is free to go where she wants, but she stays around our house and buddies up with the milk cows! She loves her feed and will only let DD#1 or myself pet her. She is extremely intelligent and lots of fun to have around.

Man Lift

We needed to put up a new TV antennae (yes, we are one of "those" people that like free TV!!) Really, we aren't big TV watchers, but like to get the local news and have a few programs we like to watch (we are one of "those" reality show buffs!) our SIL brought out the "Man Lift" and the new TV antennae is installed!!

Warning:  Photo heavy post!

After the boys got the antennae installed and checked it out with the TV, I got to go up and get a bird's eye view!! Loved it!!
