Nice job. I like that you placed the items on the well grained wood surface. It adds another layer of interest without detracting from the items themselves. On another note, I guess I have never seen a dog whistle before. If I had seen this hanging around someone's neck out of context, I would never have known what it was.
Many textures and shades. On which table is it taken. I have an old oak table too. It is from 1900. Will take a picture of it coming days. And I can't imagine how those whistles work.
