My early Christmas gift from Mike!!! She is a 1913 Singer model 127. I successfully stitched 3 nine patch blocks with her today - my first on a treadle machine!!! I need a name - any suggestions?
It's beautiful! Although everything about this photo is beautiful too - treadle machine, quilts in a crock, blue ribbon, little quilt, quilt blocks.... Good luck choosing a name
She's beautiful and looks to be in lovely condition! I need to learn to treadle mine and sew some 9-patches too! (Actually mine is a very similar era, about 1910 I think). Woot woot I see Tucker there in the photo and a NZ calendar!!
That is a beauty! You will enjoy this! How about Dixie?
ReplyDeleteMy Mum used to have one like that and she loved it. I am useless at naming things I would probably call it after my Mum if it was mine. Diane

ReplyDeleteI had one too but gave it away years ago :-(
ReplyDeleteI'm too tall to use it.
What a beautiful gift. I think you should name it Joy, since that is what it will bring you while you use it.
ReplyDeleteA bit belated, but how about Treasure?
